Biggest Smile Ever!!

Our friend Cera Wilkins returned home today after serving a year in Afghanistan with the Army Reserves. I'm pretty sure her daughter, Coraline, was excited to see her. Thank you for your service, Cera!!

This little girl with a big name {Jaeden Susanna Rachelle Humphries} loves to come and spend an afternoon with me {Laurie} in the summertime. We swim, go out for lunch and do girly stuff all day. She can get these two guys to do pretty much anything. Here they were checking to see who has the darkest tan.

Every i has been dotted and every t crossed. Finally!  We signed the closing loan documents today and three years after the Flood of 2008 contractors will resume work on renovations of our final rental property! *Sigh of relief* It has been such a long journey and we are hoping to be finished by October 1st of this year.

Last night we attended the wedding reception of Zach Less and Morgan Funke. At the end of the night everyone had a big sparkler and we all made a path for the bride and groom to leave on to their honeymoon! It was beautiful, and it was such a fun wedding.

Happy 75th Birthday, Lifetouch Photography!

Mary Bryan, Will Bys, Jolene Bowman & I attended the season kickoff meeting for Lifetouch today. I am heading back to work there this fall and they will all be working with me to fill in for Cera Bys Wilkins until she get home from Afghanistan. It is the 75th Birthday for Lifetouch and we had cupcakes to celebrate.

Aunts, Uncles and Cousins, Oh My!

This is my sweet cousin Jeanna, from Florida. She is 15 and just learning to drive, I think her mother is a little nervous. We had a great time visiting with the Toulouse Family and some of my other Aunts, Uncles and Cousins this past week.

I had to laugh today when Todd sent me this picture message on my phone! He took a bus trip to St. Louis for three days this week and one of the places they visited was Six Flags, St. Louis!

2nd Annual Swisher Legion Golf Outing.

Trevor partnered with Mary Bryan this morning for the second annual Swisher Legion neighborhood golf outing. It looked like a lot of fun, they set it all up ahead of time with all of the "holes" in different neighbors yards. I may have to try it next year, I think I could play this kind of golf.

Todd had a bus trip tonight and Trevor decided to ride along when he found out it was to a Cedar Rapids Kernels game. He loves baseball, anytime, anywhere, any team!

Fireworks!

We went to the fireworks in downtown Cedar Rapids last night, they were awesome. I was not in the moods for photos, so I borrowed {meaning I Facebook stalked and then stole it} this one from Emily. Very random but I like it. We had fun sitting in the back of Trevors truck.

Shopping for College Stuff.

Trevor and I went shopping with Emily and her mom, Becky today. The kids need lots of stuff for when they head off to college next month, it will be here before we know it. Dinner at Texas Roadhouse after shopping.
