Christmas Day, a time to celebrate the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ. We always gather with the Eden family for dinner and a gift exchange and of course lots of catching up and playing with cousins.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve church services are a tradition at our house.

Christmas Adam.

Ever since our kids were little, they have called December 23rd  Christmas Adam. You know, the day before Christmas is called Christmas Eve and Adam came before Eve, so this day must be called Christmas Adam. And so it began. We had fun celebrating with friends.

If you know me very well you have heard me mention my little cousins {2nd cousins}. I have LOTS of them, and today we had the pleasure of celebrating Marie's 3rd birthday. We all had lots of fun eating pizza and playing at ChuckECheese.

Remember last week? I showed a photo of this little kitchen, here is the after photo. We added the wainscotting backsplash. This is the kitchen in the lower level unit of our duplex, the one we have been working on since the flood of 2008.

We have had this little dresser forever. It used to be Monica's when she was first born and before that it was Todd's when he was in high school. We decided to give it a make-over. The photo on the left is the after photo, and the photo on the right is about midway through the process because I forgot to take a picture. It originally had 5 drawers. I love it.

We will start this class in January. Now that we are all finished with the everything from the flood, we can see what we actually have to work with. It will be great to have a plan.

Trevor loves his new "glasses". This style seems to be the latest trend. He sent me this photo today from his webcam so I could see them.

New Entryway Decor

We have really enjoyed putting this together for our entryway.We refinished the little dresser, Todd made the shelf, the window is from one of our rentals after the flood of '08, and I made letter S and the little paper balls on top of the candlesticks {found it on Pinterest}.

Our Room

I like seeing this little tree from our bedroom window when we come home at night. I decorated it with angel ornaments this year.

Working on the last details before the lower level of the duplex is completely ready. Today we are adding waincotting as a backsplash, this is the before picture.

It has been so unseasonably warm this month, we have enjoyed lots of walks outdoors. I was excited to see that my favorite shoes matched the new Tshirt that Trevor gave me for my birthday.

Took a little break from working on the rentals this weekend to put up some Christmas decorations. This is one of my favorite little ornaments, I got it many years ago as a secret santa gift. Angels are my favorite.

Official UNI Ballboy

Trevor is having such a great time at college. He seems to really like it, one of his favorite things is working at the UniDome as a ballboy for the football games. Todd and I have started watching the games on TV and we see Trevor on the sidelines quite frequently. Its fun to try and spot him.

Jolene and Me.

Jolene Bowman caught up with me after church last weekend, she had a birthday gift for me. She is so sweet, we have been working together every week for Lifetouch Photography. She makes it so much more fun!

Monica & Drew, & My Birthday!

Today was my birthday and Mr. Sniegowski and I spent a little time hanging out with these two kids. We played a little pool, had some pizza and a drink to celebrate. They even made me some cupcakes.

Sweet Angel Face.

Mary Bryan and I worked in Des Moines for Lifetouch the last two days. We stayed over night with Kyle and got to do some shopping {Trader Joes}. On the way home we met Cera in Williamsburg and picked up this little girl. We chit chatted and sang songs all the way home. She is such a sweetie, I taught her to say my name. She says "Wo-wee", I love it little Miss Coraline.

Snowpants!

I love this sweet puppy face, this is Snowpants. You can't tell from the picture but she is black from her middle to her tail and thats how she got her name. She lives at the end of our street and likes to stop and play when she is out for a walk.

Effie, the Neighbor Dog.

This is Effin, he lives with his owner next door to our rental property in Cedar Rapids. Sometimes he likes to come over and say hi. He's a happy dog!

Miss Korsmo!

Today, I was working for Lifetouch at Bowman Woods Elementary. I heard someone say "Miss Korsmo", turned around and there was Sharaya! She is so good with her little kiddos and they are so cute! I stopped by her classroom on my way out to get a quick photo.

I Love Clouds!

Mister Sniegowski and I went for an afternoon drive yesterday after church. I love it when its a big fluffy cloud day and the sky is so blue.

Neighbor 2 Neighbor Sunday, Making Omelettes at church.

Every August there is a Sunday to invite your neighbors to church and we always serve breakfast. Todd is an awesome omelette maker and he always volunteers to help.

Shoe Shopping.

Trevor and I did a little shopping today, last minute stuff before he leaves for college. He was really excited to find this pair of shoes. I am going to miss this kid so much!

The Guys

Winstar Lines had an employee appreciation event this afternoon. It was a Cedar Rapids Kernals game and since Trevor has been working for them this summer he was invited to come too {and bring a guest}. This worked out great for Trevor's friend, Jordan Weber who had stayed the previous night with us. We all had a great time at the ballpark. I think Trevor and Jordan especially enjoyed the "all you can eat" snack bar.
