This is Luke, we're cousins. He is a goofball but lots of fun to be around. He likes cake {we had cake together at Ashely's baby shower this past weekend} and he really likes to be silly! He calls Todd " Big Daddy" and Todd thinks that is hillarious.
Went to a baby shower for my cousin, Ashley today. She and her husband Josh are expecting a baby boy the end of March. It's their first child, Ashley is an only child so it is the first grandchild as well and everyone is so excited. She is such a cute pregnant lady!
This is what the back of my car looked like today as I was headed out to deliver Valentines for the HyVee Floral dept. It was a beautiful warm {50 degree} day and I had fun making some extra cash. Look at all that love in there, can't you just feel it!
Went to Barnes & Noble after church today, came around a corner and saw Todd reading, it's a rare site. He likes this book, Mocking Jay by Suzanne Collins. Shhh....don't tell him but I got it for him for Valentine's day.
Another shot after the big blizzard, this is our backyard. Thats a six foot fence in the back and notice the clothes line poles on the left. The drifts were pretty big.
Looking forward to having lunch with my friend Beth today. Lots of catching up to do, Beth is also our accountant and today is the day we turn in all of our income tax info.
A look over towards our neighbor's {Josh & Traci's} house. Lots of HUGE drifts out there after the 30-40 mph wind gusts we've had. The weather seems to be the biggest news around here this week.
Trevor spends many nights and weekends working. He currently works for Pizza Hut doing deliveries. He made employee of the month and was recently promoted to shift manager! Way to go Trevor, keep up the good work!!
Blizzard conditions the past few days, it snowed 12 inches in one day earlier this week. Then it just kept snowing and blowing. This is what it looked like after I finally ventured outside. It was nice to see the sun shine, pretty to look at but brrrrr I do not care for this weather.
But it's warm and cozy inside, snuggled up by the fire reading "The Hunger Games" series, by Suzanne Collins. I just can't put it down, I haven't been so engrossed in a book since I read the Twilight books.
I didn't take a photo today, so I decided to share this one from over the holidays. Monica was home and we all wanted to go out to do something {we run kind of short on things to do in Iowa when its below zero}. So we decided to brave the cold and go check out the Riverside Casino. It was coooold {you can tell by my red face} but we had fun! What do you think of Todd's new glasses?
We had a blizzard today!! It dumped over 12 inches of snow within about 12 hours. The storm was just begining when I took this picture, lots of blowing and snowing, all day! Oh.....and Trevor got a new truck today. He couldn't wait to take me for a ride in the snow.
